Huron Fire Receives Funding for Lucas 3 CPR System
The Huron Fire Department is excited to announce the purchase of an additional LUCAS 3 CPR System, made possible through funding from an Ohio BWC Safety Intervention Grant along with a generous donation from Great Lakes Event Works. This additional unit will allow us to equip each frontline ambulance with the LUCAS 3 CPR System, thus allowing both Station 1 and Station 2 to have this equipment available at all times.
The LUCAS 3 is a mechanical CPR device that delivers consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac arrest emergencies. This technology helps our firefighters and paramedics provide more effective lifesaving care while allowing responders to focus on other critical treatments and patient transport.
We would like to thank the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Great Lakes Event Works for their support and commitment to the safety and well-being of our community and our first responders.
This investment will help us continue delivering the highest level of emergency care to the residents and visitors of Huron.
