Charter Review Commission

The Charter Review Commission was established by the passing of Issue 13 on the November 2, 2023 ballot. Beginning in 2025, and every 5 years thereafter, each member of City Coucil shall appoint 1 citizen of the City of Huron to establish a Charter Review Commission comprised of 7 qualified electors. Members shall hold no other office or appointment within the City, and must be registered voters. The Charter Review Commission recommends to Council such alterations, revisions and amendments to the Charter to be voted on at the next regular November election.
