Farmers Market Returns to Lake Front Park

May 28, 2025
Vegetables The Huron Farmers Market is making its highly anticipated return to Huron this summer, bringing with it the spirit of community, fresh local produce, handmade goods, and small business pride. Happening on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from June-August, 4 PM to 7 PM, the market will take place at Lake Front Park and Beach, 310 Park Street, making it a can’t-miss destination for locals and visitors alike.

Rachael Summerfield, Events Coordinator for the Greater Sandusky Partnership (GSP), and leading the efforts said, “Farmers markets aren’t just about fruits and vegetables. They are about community, connection, and a whole lot of heart. It is where neighbors support neighbors, and where small business owners get the chance to showcase their talents and hard work.”

Combining two fun activities on Tuesday nights, the Huron Community Bike Ride will be meeting at Lake Front Park at 6:45 PM and encouraging residents to ride through Huron and enjoy the evening together. It’s the perfect way to combine wellness, community, and fresh air in one vibrant weekly gathering.

Doug Steinwart, City of Huron’s Parks and Recreation Director, shared his excitement about the market’s return, saying “We’re thrilled to see the Farmers Market come back this summer. Not only does it offer fresh, locally-sourced products that support the health and well-being of our community, but it also brings new energy to downtown. It’s a great way to showcase what makes Huron special and gives folks a reason to come together and enjoy all that our city has to offer.”

Whether you’re picking up produce or just
