Code Enforcement & Property Maintenance

The Planning and Zoning Department is responsible for enforcement of the City’s zoning code relative to property maintenance violations.  Violations include, but not limited to:  tall grass & weeds, debris, exterior structure conditions, sanitation, etc.

The Zoning Department appreciates citizen engagement relative to code enforcement efforts which benefit all in our community.  Please contact us to report an issue; all we will need is the property address and a brief description, we will take it from there and add the address to our list for inspection. You can use our online system, call us, or email to make a report.

  • Citizen Portal for online reporting. You will enter the information and address.  Your report will be directed to us for follow up.
  • Email the Zoning Inspector
  • Call us at 419-433-5000 ext. 1303 or 1302

Upon receipt of your inquiry, the Zoning Department will open a report, review, and investigate your inquiry.  Should the Zoning Inspector determine that a code violation exists, the property owner will be contacted with notice of corrective action to be taken within the specified time frame pursuant to the code.   Thank you for taking the time to contact us, we appreciate your efforts.
